Huffcutt is excited to announce the launch of our NEW automated precast wall panel plant. This expansion, provides you with a single source supplier for precast concrete, structural steel, pre-fabricated rebar and ready mix concrete. Our ability to service and package many products gives you an upper hand for your project needs.
Utilizing the most efficient, up to date technology, Huffcutt has the ability to produce your material with the shortest lead time in the industry. Our expansion provides increased production capacity that allows us to expand in to new markets.
Our one-of-a-kind automated finishing process produces a unified and consistent finish, regardless of the final texture chosen on your project. The automated system eliminates human errors and streamlines the pre-casting process, creating uniformity on every aspect of the job. The indoor controlled environment guarantees a consistent finished product all year round.
HOW WE DO IT:
CAROUSEL PLANT
The ability to create work stations specific to the task at hand creates superior quality in every product at Huffcutt. New technology allows pallets move throughout the plant from work station to work station, not people. Now employees have the tools that they need to complete their tasks right at their fingertips. From pallet cleaning to shuttering, to layout and reinforcing to casting, and compacting to finishing, to curing to removal of the finished product – each pallet is transported via drive rollers and side shifters with the simple push of a button.
SHUTTERING ROBOT
Huffcutt’s fully-automated robot is used to manufacture high quality precast concrete products, as well as to increase the level of automation. The shuttering robot selects the required shutters based on the data created by our D.E.E.P. department and transferred from ebos. The shuttering robot then places the shutters on the pallet surface and activates the integrated magnets on the shutters.
CONCRETE SPREADER
The concrete spreader is employed to pour the fresh concrete into the shuttered and reinforced pallets. It receives concrete directly from the mixer and pours it in accordance with the element contours or thickness. The concrete spreader delivers the concrete with 9 screw augers through 9 individually operated flaps for precise placement.
KILNS – CONTROLLED HEAT
Production pallets with poured concrete are stacked in a rack system for curing. Pallet stacking is automatically controlled by a pallet stacker controlled by ebos. Proper curing plays an important role in strength development and durability of concrete. Huffcutt’s ability to cure all elements in a controlled environment, where temperature doesn’t fluctuate, results in unmatched concrete strength and overall product quality and consistency.
TILTING TABLE
The tilting equipment is designed to bring cured wall panels into an almost vertical position. The elements can therefore be transported in their subsequent installation position.
